I trust the learner to grasp foundational academic skills. I trust the learner to gain confidence in the areas of reading, writing, and math. I trust the learner to experience transformation in the way they learn. Why "trust the learner?" Because I have confidence in every student's ability to grow and learn in their own way. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who uses Precision Teaching, which is based on learning science (Behavior Analysis) as my means to provide academic and learning supports. This form of teaching is founded on the principle that "the learner knows best" (Lindsley, 1971). This unique form of supporting academic behavior relies on consistent and detailed measurements of student performance to establish progress. These measurements allow me to ensure I am teaching the way each student learns, so that they grow in self-confidence and self-determination.
