Foundations for Fluent Learning provides individualized and data-driven academic services which rely on fluency as a means of mastery to maximize learning.
I am proud to provide academic and learning supports to students who are enrolled in public, private, or home school environments. I specialize in Precision Teaching, which has resulted in an average of over two-year gains in reading, language arts, and math per academic year. [1]
Do you only provide academic services?
Yes. I provide academic intervention in the core subjects: reading, writing, and math.
Why Precision Teaching?
See the Precision Teaching page for more information.
"With Precision Teaching, students learn important goal setting, self-monitoring, self-management, organizational, and co-operative learning skills. Students also learn self-management and self-determination through freedom to take their own performance breaks and still meet their expected goals, skipping lessons when they can demonstrate mastery..." (Johnson & Street, 2012).
"Precision Teaching has been used successfully to facilitate the progress of learners ranging from people with severe disabilities to university graduate students, from the very young to the very old" (White 1986, p. 8).
